About

"He manages to evoke such emotion through his playing. He draws you in and connects with you in such a way that you are completely hooked."
- Livestream Listener 2020

Brought up in a musical family, Alastair quickly became involved in the performing arts. Perhaps rather ambitiously, he composed his first piece aged 14 for a full orchestra, entitled 'Rhapsody in C'. Since then he's gone on to continue playing piano and violin. Vocally his proudest moment was singing for Queen Elizabeth II at Crathie Kirk, Balmoral alongside his younger brother.

Alastair's music has been used in a variety of formats including background music for award winning short films and documentaries. On the 1 August 2020 'Stutter' was broadcast on BBC Music Introducing in York and North Yorkshire, with host Jericho Keys describing both 'Stutter' and 'Look For Tomorrow' as "beautiful pieces of music" and Alastair himself as "an artist whose name it might be worth writing down in a flurry." His recently released track 'Ripple' premiered on the show in February 2021.
