Throughout the multiple lockdowns I used the time to create and partake in a variety of artistic projects:
- Continued and completed my graduation plays online -
- William Carlisle in Simon Stephens' PUNK ROCK
- American Man in Shirley Lauro's A PIECE OF MY HEART
- Took part in the live 48-hour Shakespeare Readathon "Read for the Globe", which raised over £13,000 (Brutus, JULIUS CAESAR).
- Created a theatre production company, PENNY BANK PRODUCTIONS
- Wrote and produced two monologue series titled ONLY HUMAN focusing on current social issues and structures.
- Produced, directed, and acted in a production of Peter Morris' 'The Age of Consent' which was filmed live at the Helmsley Arts Centre in January 2021 within Covid-19 restrictions and streamed to approximately 250 people in 8 countries.
- Published a photographic book, 'A Pedestrian Perspective - New York, New York'. A collection of architectural and atmospheric photos exploring the city of New York. 100% of the profits are donated to Little John's House - an orphanage for disabled and disadvantaged young adults and children in Romania.
- Had one-on-one monologue Zoom workshops with Ashley Park, Julia Duffy, and David O'Reilly, as well as a self-tape masterclass with Rosamund Pike.
- Was invited as a guest speaker on 'A New Stage: Acting in a Covid Era' alongside other industry guests such as Joseph Marcell. My presentation topic was "Creating a Safe and Successful Theatrical Production During Covid".
- Took part in the second episode of NYT: MIXTAPE, a livestream event for National Youth Theatre members to perform original work with over 2.2k listeners tuning in. Later I was invited back to perform on two more episodes including a special MIXTAPE event standing in solidarity with Black Lives Matter with 2.4k listeners and counting.
- My piano single 'Stutter' was played on BBC Music Introducing in York and North Yorkshire for the first time. Host Jericho Keys described both 'Stutter' and 'Look For Tomorrow' as "absolutely beautiful pieces of music." My upcoming track 'Ripple' also premiered on the show in Feb 2021.
- Released a new single feat. Felix Hughes titled 'City Sleepers' which was recorded at home.
- Did a modelling gig for The Tofoo Co Ltd for an Instagram competition. At the time, they had 27.4k followers.
- In May 2021, I was invited to perform at a Charity Livestream Fundraiser for We Rescue Kids, providing safe homes and mental health support for children who are victims of sexual abuse, with Dear In The Headlights Project. The fundraising target was £250, we raised just over £1,000.
